Ingredients:

  • 1 kg wild salmon fillet also regionally called Vazhmeen or Raavas from FreshToHome. Our fish are formalin & ammonia free and directly sourced from fisherfolk, guaranteeing you the freshest delicacy possible!
  • 2 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions:

  1. Cure Your Enthusiasm: Mix the salt, sugar, and spices in a bowl. Rub the mixture all over the salmon. Wrap it in plastic wrap. Let it cure in the fridge for 24 hours.
  2. Smokin’ Success: If you have a smoker, smoke the salmon for about 2 hours at 225°F. No smoker? No problem! Brush the salmon with liquid smoke and bake it in the oven at 225°F for 2 hours.
  3. Slice of Life: Let the salmon cool, then slice it thin. Serve with bagels, cream cheese, and capers for a classic treat. This is what we call cold smoked salmon!
